Terms

Terms of service and licence

These terms cover what you can do with software bought on the NetworkFixIT storefront, what we promise, and what happens if you ask for a refund. Macropod is currently the only product. The text is short on purpose.

Effective: 2026-05-21

1. Who you are agreeing with

NetworkFixIT is a NetworkIT brand run by an independent operator based in Quebec, Canada. In these terms, "we" is the operator and "you" is the person who buys and uses the product. Buying a licence or running the software means you accept the terms.

2. What you are buying

A non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the software ("the product") on your own computers, for your own purposes, subject to the limits below. The licence is a right to use a copy. It is not ownership of the software and it does not include access to source code.

3. Free trial

Before you buy, you can run the full product free for seven days. You start the trial by entering an email address in the app: no credit card, no charge, every feature unlocked. When the seven days end, the product stops sending input and shows a purchase screen; your profiles, macros, and settings stay on your computer and come back the moment you activate a licence.

The trial is one per computer and per email address. To keep that fair, we record the email you enter and a fingerprint of the computer, and we use them only to stop the same machine or email from starting the trial again (see the privacy policy). Reinstalling, clearing the app's local data, or changing the email does not reset the seven-day clock, which is tracked on our server.

4. Devices per licence

One purchase activates the product on up to two of your computers at the same time. You can deactivate one and move it to another machine you own. The two-device cap is a limit on simultaneous activations, not a count of how many times you can install across a lifetime.

5. What you may not do

  • Share your licence key with anyone else.
  • Sell, sublicense, lend, rent, or otherwise transfer the licence to a third party.
  • Use the product on machines that do not belong to you or that you do not control.
  • Remove, alter, or obscure copyright notices, signing certificates, or version stamps embedded in the product.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the product, except to the limited extent that local law permits and overrides this restriction (for example, for interoperability rights you cannot waive).
  • Use the product to break the law, violate someone else's rights, or interfere with games or services in a way that violates their own terms of service. The product is a general-purpose macro tool. What you do with it is your responsibility.

6. Who owns the product

We own the product, including its name, code, look, and feel. Open-source components that ship with the product remain under their own licences (see Section 12). You have the right to use, not to own.

7. Updates

The product checks for updates and may download and install them automatically. Updates can fix bugs, add features, change features, or take them away. We do not promise that any particular feature will stay available forever. If a change takes away something you paid for, contact us through the contact form and we will work it out.

8. Refunds and revocation

You can request a full refund within fourteen days of purchase for any reason, by using the contact form. A refund revokes the licence at the same time: the download link in the receipt email stops working, future activations are refused, and current activations can no longer renew. The product copy already on your computer keeps working until its cached licence token expires (usually within thirty days). We ask that you uninstall before then.

After the fourteen-day window, refunds are at our discretion and usually limited to cases where the product cannot be made to work for you. Nothing in this section limits your rights under Quebec's Loi sur la protection du consommateur or other consumer-protection laws that apply where you live.

9. Payment, pricing, and taxes

Payment is processed by Stripe. Prices on the storefront are in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stated. Applicable taxes may be added at checkout depending on where you are. Stripe shows the final total before you confirm payment.

10. Promotional codes

We sometimes publish promotional codes. Each code has its own expiry date and may be restricted in other ways (one use per customer, maximum redemptions, specific products). We can invalidate a promotional code at any time if it is being abused. Promotional codes have no cash value and are not redeemable outside the storefront.

11. The product is signed software

Our installers and updates are signed with a code-signing certificate issued to NetworkFixIT. If you see an unsigned copy or a copy signed by anyone else, it is not ours. The product is not malware. It uses low-level keyboard and mouse hooks to translate your bindings into key and click events, by design. Some antivirus tools flag macro software for this reason. If yours does, you can verify the signing certificate or contact us through the contact form.

12. Third-party components

The product can use third-party drivers and tools you install separately, such as the open-source projects vJoy, HidHide, and the ViGEmBus driver. These are not part of the product. They are governed by their own licences and are at your own risk. We are not responsible for problems caused by third-party software installed on your system.

The product also bundles the ViGEmClient library (MIT licence, copyright Benjamin Höglinger-Stelzer) to produce virtual Xbox and DualShock output. Its full licence notice ships inside the product, under Settings, About, Open-source licences.

13. Warranty

The product is provided as-is. Beyond the warranties that consumer-protection law requires us to give you (which we are not trying to waive and could not waive even if we tried), we make no other warranty, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the product will work with every game, every version of Windows, or every piece of hardware.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability to you for any claim related to the product is limited to what you actually paid for it. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, or lost opportunities. This section does not limit our liability for gross negligence, intentional wrongdoing, or anything else that law in your jurisdiction does not allow us to disclaim.

15. Indemnity

You agree to defend us against claims that arise from your use of the product in violation of these terms, in violation of someone else's rights, or in violation of the law. We will do the same the other way: if a third party claims our product itself infringes their intellectual property, that is on us, not you.

16. Termination

Your licence ends automatically if you materially breach these terms (for example, sharing your licence key publicly or attempting to circumvent the device cap). It also ends when you request and receive a refund. On termination, you must stop using the product and remove copies from your devices.

17. Privacy

Our handling of your personal information is described in the privacy policy. By using the product and the storefront, you also agree to that policy.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we bump the effective date at the top and post the new text. For changes that affect your existing licence in a way that matters, we will give you reasonable notice through the email tied to your purchase.

19. Governing law and where to take a dispute

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Quebec. Any dispute will be decided by the courts of the district where the operator's place of business is located, except where local consumer-protection law gives you a different mandatory venue.

20. Severability and entire agreement

If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. These terms, together with the privacy policy and anything you sign separately at purchase, are the full agreement between us about the product.

21. Contact

For questions about these terms, refunds, or your licence, use the contact form. We monitor that channel and reply within a reasonable delay.
